CHRISTMAS RIVER CRUISE

Had the most lovely trip to the Christmas Markets on the Emily Bronte river cruise ship. We visited Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna over 6 nights. We flew into Budapest and after a transfer and a check in to our cabin we had the evening to explore Budapest. I opted for a cabin with a Juliette balcony which gave us wonderful views of the cities as we sailed along. Dinner was served in the main dining room from an al a carte menu and the food was very good. There was always a small buffet as well for salads and deserts. The next day we had an included guided excursion to the old part of town which was worth doing. We sailed late that night on to Bratislavia. After breakfast we had another guided tour included and then free time for the afternoon which we utilised visiting Christmas Markets, shops and some local pubs. then on to Vienna for the same. Finally sailing back to Budapest for another day visiting. Most evenings something was going on in the lounge be it a quiz or a concert or you could just sit and enjoy the sailing.... Each city had a guided tour included and the guides were very very good and enjoyable to listen to. The food was exceptional and consisted of a buffet with al a carte items as well, more than enough food to keep you going. We upgraded to an all in drinks package, which meant we had free flowing beer and wine included with our dinner and also were given some vouchers to use in the bar each night for one drink so we did not spend much more in an evening at all so worth doing. River cruising is not like ocean cruising, the boats are much smaller and you sail right through the centre of the cities. Fancy doing one? Give me a call
