New for 2021, Virgin Voyages UK sailings are offering vaccinated British residents a brilliant staycation-at-sea aboard its Scarlet Lady this summer. Sailing the southern coast of England, these Summer Soirée sailings from Portsmouth will offer a taster of the Virgin Voyages experience, with a total of six sailings in August on three- or four-night itineraries.
Guests will be offered a first taste of sailing on Scarlet Lady with its menus by Michelin-starred chefs, expert spa treatments, unlimited fitness classes and entertainment featuring the cream of local British talent Virgin Voyages is a new lifestyle-focused cruise brand designed exclusively for adults, with four ships on order with master shipbuilder Fincantieri and operations in the UK, across Europe and in the Caribbean from the USA. Food is as healthy or as indulgent as you like aboard Scarlet Lady, with a choice of 20+ intimate unique eateries, incredible Michelin star-driven menus and made to order food. With the relaxed luxury of Scarlet Lady, gone are big buffets and vast dining halls, in their place you’ll find a steak and seafood restaurant, a Korean barbecue, an upscale Mexican, an elevated Italian, a noodle bar and a 24-hour diner, to name just a few of your options.
Virgin Voyages also takes a fresh look at cruise entertainment, curating festival-like line-ups in consultation with ground-breaking producers, directors, choreographers and artists from around the world. Offerings include the Another Rose mysterious dinner party performance, the Duel Reality fast-paced retelling of Romeo and Juliet with an elaborate circus twist, Ships in the Night combining electrifying choreography and ethereal technology, and the enigmatic Untitled Dance party show thing. The Manor is an alluring, mind-blowing nightclub and bar which has a ‘70s punk vibe; cruises end with a bang with the Scarlet Night ‘blow-out event’.
