What is the current UK Government framework for the safe return to international travel?

20 September 2021

From Monday 4th October, the current traffic light system will be replaced by a single red list of countries and territories, which will denote the entry requirements on return to the UK.

If a destination is not on the red list, it means that you do not have to self-isolate on return to England, however this colour-coded system should always be used in conjunction with the latest travel advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
