It's Nice To Meet You

I’m Kerensa - based in Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire. Living with my husband Mark, our "kids" are now 21,19 and nearly 17 !

Last year I became a Gold Travel Counsellor ! It's the top achievement at TC, making me one of the top 10 percent of the Travel Agents. I'm proud of this achievement I've worked super hard ensuring I provide my clients with the best possible experience on their hard earnt holidays. Well done for finding me, you can put your next holiday idea in my capable hands !

Before becoming a Travel Counsellor I worked for over 15 years in the city on a busy trading floor for Bank of America, a big American investment bank selling Fixed Income products. It was a fantastic, thrilling, competitive and demanding job but not very family friendly. On the upside I travelled extensively for work and pleasure so that’s when I realised I had a great existing skill set, a perfect foundation for a new career in travel as it is something I'm very passionate and fussy about. Friends and family have sought my holiday advice for years knowing I do that extensive, in-depth research, demand high quality, expect good value, love lots of luxury and I know just how important holidays are!

But here we are 7 years on drawing on those years of experience in booking my own family holidays - young kids to now demanding teens, I know exactly how important it is to ensure it meets everyone’s requirements. We’ve had many luxury holidays in Dubai, Oman, Maldives, Abu Dhabi and had equally amazing experiences, making memories travelling extensively in Europe and travel annually to Greece (as my father is Greek) so that country is dear to me. Whilst luxury has its place it’s also nice to experience the culture and the authenticity of a country too.

I work from home, I have many local clients but so many are based all over the UK, some are abroad too. With 24/7 Duty office support, in-depth training Travel Counsellors and my growing passion for travel and lovely clients I really have the dream job! I’m available throughout the day and evenings - even if I’m not at my desk I will always respond quickly so I can help you start making your exciting holiday plans without delay! Competitive prices, with first class service!

So apart from my annual trips to Greece 2022 and 2023 has been busy with some must see destinations:
Cappadocia - stunning landscape and hot air balloons
Jordan for my big birthday taking in Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea and Amman
A weekend trip back to Morocco enjoying the souks and luxury hotels just outside the Medina
Seychelles for Xmas visiting Mahe, Praslin, Silhouette and La Digue
Barbados Girls Trip - rebooked for March 2024 too !
Mainland Greece - Romanos and the new W Hotel
Greek Island Hopping - Naxos, Andros, Ios and Paros were our family destinations for 2023
Kerala - luxury houseboat and tour of Kerala finishing in Doha
Thailand - Elephant Hills

Next year - more big plans for me and you !

Girls Long Weekend in Barbados March

19 March 2017

You may think it’s a mad idea but you are very wrong! You'd actually be mad not to try this ! Barbados is one of my favourite destinations. It has so much to offer - fabulous weather pretty much most of the year, although traditionally it’s a great winter sun destination. As it’s tropical the weather is great all year round and those tropical showers are bearable in the out of peak times. It's a great family destination but for this blog I'm going to focus on why you need to think about Barbados instead of New York next time you are planning a long weekend with friends or a partner. So nine ladies - let's call us Barbies for convenience and so our identity remains secret - arranged child-care from Thursday to Saturday morning (no easy task - the lists of activities and jobs for other halves were bigger than our suitcases). We headed off from Gatwick and landed early afternoon on Thursday to 30 degree heat, and watched the sunset with sundowners. We chose to rent a luxury villa (ask me details as more affordable than you'd think) that came with a chef, butler and maids that took care of our every need for the next few days. We ate in that night and drank just a small quota of our duty free. Past experience has taught us that going out the first night is not wise, as the time difference is a pain and you do need to reserve your energy for other evenings. Our villa was located in West Morlands Golf Course with a panoramic view of the sea, sunsets and St James below. Every morning we walked down to the beach and back up the long hill knowing that would be the exercise for the day, and we needed it in order to counter the excesses ahead! We had an action packed few days and managed to get in the best itinerary as inside information was key : Friday night we had dinner at Cincin by the Sea and watched the amazing live band Kevan Sahai singing his mix of songs from Stereophonics to Rod Stewart, our quiet evening was anything but that, as the cocktails kicked in.... Saturday after a leisurely shop and mooch in Holetown, we hired a luxury catamaran and sailed around the island drinking rum punches, swimming, finding turtles and then partying on the deck! Sunday we had a late brunch at the new Cliff Beach Bar followed by more drinks at Mullens Beach Bar and then on to the OneloveBar for some street karaoke. Monday was the lazy hangover day and we had early dinner at Lone Star before the 20:15 flight home! I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun was had, the locals are so friendly, the restaurants rival those in London, the shopping is tax free, Lime Grove has a perfect selection of the designers, bars, more restaurants than you could ever need for a quick weekend. And the sun, sea and sand - you can't possibly come back anything but re-energised! If you like the sound of this contact me and I'll help put together a getaway plan!

Dubai May Half Term

08 June 2016

Dubai May Half Term We've not long come back from an amazing week with family and friends in Dubai and I cant recommend it highly enough! Ok it was quite warm for my pasty husband and my fair skinned kids but we were armed with sunsuits and factor 50 so managed that bit. The hotel helped too easing the pressure of the 40 degrees heat and wall-to-wall sunshine by chilling the pools, coming round with cold scented towels, and spraying chilled water on you whilst cooking on the beach......the service in Dubai is another level, when you ask for 5 star in Dubai you get it and some! We stayed on the long sand stretch of the Jumeirah beach which is home to the iconic Burj, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Mina Al Salem, Madinat Jumeirah and not forgetting the very useful and free with the hotel Wild Wadi Park !!! We stayed in the Dar Al Masyaf, part of the Madinat and its suites in Villas and was an economical way to house a family of 5, the villas are great, quiet, close to the beach and pool specially for a few villas and each villa has a butler and so check-out is in the room, really smooths the process. We all rather enjoyed the happy hour in the villa too from 6-8pm. Its a popular choice and some of the lovely people we met in our villa have been to the hotel more than 10 times and I can honestly say we will be going back soon. So for us we had an amazing array of restaurants to choose from, most were part of the half board scheme, and our butlers kindly pre-booked and organised these for us. There are bars (but children are allowed) and a souk inside the resort selling souvenirs, clothes, pharmacy and most things you could ever need. If you didn't want to leave the resort you definitely dont need to. The gym is state of the art with a great indoor pool offering all sorts of gym extras including swimming lessons for the energetic! Staying in the resort gives automatic access to the wonderful Wild Wadi Park which is a smaller perfectly adequate version of the Atlantis, again another reason to stay rooted to the sunbed. Access around resort is either by brand new golf buggies or abra on the waterways - its a great and novel way to get around and the kids love it. So we were there this year with a few other families and as the resort is so large you could actually avoid them if you needed to but we didn't and so spent a great balance of quality family time and time with our/their friends. We had a few evenings together with pre-organised dinners for 31 (I did organise these in advance) and I even organised a late afternoon yacht trip with water sports round the Dubai Marina. In the past we've done Dune Bashing, Burge Al Khalifa, horse riding, shopping - all of which are possible. We also had a fabulous evening without kids enjoying the sunset and luxury of the Burj, drinking cocktails in the Burj Skybar which is worth a visit. Every year I'm sure its the last time that we will go to Dubai as it really is just a fly and flop holiday and there are so many places to go ! But every year with the great flight time, minimal time difference, guaranteed sun and sea, amazing service levels we end up drawn to this place for those half term weeks February and October its a no-brainer! But if you are still drawn to these qualities and are really done with Dubai contact me as I have other ideas worth exploring like - Oman, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain to name but a few........

Had a fab time at the Belle Plagne Club Med - lessons and instructions were excellent, and the food was amazing and all the alcohol was included in the price. Kerensa had guided us through all the ski supplier options and she chose the perfect resort for our needs. I would happily go back to the same resort next year, but also like the look of the new Club Med resort - and definitely using Kerensa again - she made everything, easy and seemless at no extra cost!!!
