It's Nice To Meet You

Hi, I’m Elaine Shearing, and I am a Travel Counsellor based in Bournemouth. Welcome to my website. I am extremely passionate about travel and offer a personal travel service.

I have worked in the travel industry for over 20 years, and have also travelled extensively around the world, which has given me a wealth of knowledge. I started my travel career in a small travel company in Reigate and then worked for American Express Travel, and Virgin Atlantic, looking after VIP Travel. In my roles, I prided myself on great customer service, attention to detail and going the extra mile.

Working in this industry, my love for travel grew even more, and I have been very fortunate to have travelled to some amazing places such as Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Egypt, Tunisia, Ghana, Dubai, Canada, and many countries in Europe. I particularly like America, and have been to – New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Death Valley, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The Caribbean is my favourite holiday destination, and I have been to the beautiful Islands of Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, Bahamas, St Thomas, St Maarten and Cuba. Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands is the most incredible place that I have ever been to.

As your personal Travel Counsellor, I can save you time and hassle by searching for your next bespoke holiday so that you don’t have to. I can create your perfect tailor-made holiday/itinerary or travel arrangements to suit your needs. Whether you’re travelling for Leisure or Business, I am able to help. I can organise flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire, and much more.

Anything you book with me is 100% protected by the Travel Counsellors Financial Trust and ATOL.

Please call or e-mail me with any future travel plans. I would love to help. I look forward to hearing from you and booking your perfect holiday.

Beautiful Barbados

07 May 2020

The beautiful Island of Barbados is my favourite Caribbean Island, I love it so much that I have been back several times. My last visit was in October 2019 with my husband and two children aged 7 and 9. We stayed at the Sea Breeze House Hotel, a beautiful all-inclusive hotel in Christchurch which is in the south of the island. The hotel is set on the beachfront. We stayed in an oceanfront suite which was spacious and beautifully decorated. The hotel has many dining options, including a la carte restaurants, a buffet, poolside dining and even beach Barbecues. There are lots of wonderful cocktail's to choose from. There's also 3 pools and a fabulous kids club. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the famous Friday evening fish fry street party at Oistin's. It's not to be missed, with delicious food, music and dancing. The atmosphere is amazing. The hotel is also 5 minutes away from St Lawrence Gap, where everyone goes to party, you'll find lots of bars, nightclubs and restaurants here. The island is small, only 21 miles long. One day we hired a car and drove around the island. We drove to the capital of Barbados, Bridgetown, where you'll find the Port and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. We then headed to Bathsheba beach, the beautiful unspoiled side of Barbados. It's on the East side of the Island which is the Atlantic coastline. If you love surfing then this is the place for you as the waves are huge. Our next stop was the West Coast also known as the 'Platinum Coast', here you'll find lots of high-end restaurants and hotels, This is where the famous 'Sandy Lane Hotel' is. The Cliff restaurant is also located on the west coast and is simply stunning and considered one of the best restaurants in the world. We didn't go there on this holiday but have previously been there, the food and views are out of this world. This time we had a reservation at a lovely seafood restaurant call 'The Fish Pot' which overlooks the Caribbean sea. It's a wonderful little restaurant with delicious food. The highlight of our holiday was our Catamaran trip. We cruised along the beautiful Caribbean sea. There were plenty of drinks on board, including Rum Punch : ) and we were served delicious Caribbean food. We swam and snorkelled in the sea. The sun was shining and they played music on board - everyone had a boogie. It was a magical day. Barbados is a wonderful holiday destination, great for families and couples. The weather is glorious, the people are so friendly, the food is outstanding and the island is simply beautiful. I highly recommend it!
