Haven Lakeland Holiday Park
The holiday park is in a fantastic location and was spotlessly clean. The staff cannot do enough to help you. The facilities are excellent and include three pools, one indoor and one outdoor. An on-site shop, crazy golf and children's play area. What really made our break was the parks location.
The park is in a fantastic location and during our weekend we visited Grange Over Sands, a small town which is only a 10 minute drive and packed with shops, cafes and a lovely park with a large lake, ideal for feeding the ducks! We also stumbled across Cartmel, a lovely little village. There happened to be a village fete taking place which involved everything from Morris dancers to duck racing, we felt like we had been transformed back in time! And of course no visit to the Lake District is complete without going to Windermere. There is lots of stunning scenery to be seen which can be enjoyed on land or on one of the many boats on the lake.
The holiday park is definitely worth another visit as we only saw a small fraction of what this area has to offer. We will be back!
